This document sets out the terms and conditions of participation in "ASEAN Song Contest"
1. The organiser of the "ASEAN Song Contest" is the Voice of Vietnam, with address at 58 Quan Su Str., Hanoi, Vietnam (the "VOV").
2. Entry to the ASEAN Song Contest is open to all ASEAN member states. Online registration is open online on www.aseansongcontest.com. No fee required.
3. To enter the ASEAN Song Contest, entrants must:
a) Complete the entryregistration and upload two (02) performance video clips in mp4 format on www.aseansongcontest.com
- Or submit the recorded music together with the completed entry form to mailbox: aseansongcontest@gmail.com
- Or post to the Voice of Vietnam 58 Quan Su, Str. Hanoi, Vietnam
b) Provide transcripts of song lyrics in English
4. Registered singers must be aged between 18 and 35.
5. Entry period for the ASEAN Song Contest shall start on June 1st 2017 and will close on July 10th, 2017 ("Entry Period"). Any entry received after the close of the Entry Period will be deemed invalid. VOV accepts no responsibility for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
6. All entrants shall perform one (01) song in the semi final. The jury board later on shall make the final decision to choose who qualify for the final round.
7. A song or music of a singer distributed through YouTube, or other media platforms such as radio or television not for profit shall not be considered for commercial purposes.
8. Any person associated with the ASEAN Song Contest and any organization associated with the provision of the prizes or awards, including but not limited to the sponsors or advertisers shall not be eligible to enter. VOV will make the final decision for the eligibility of entries.
9. Each entry must be entered in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By entering the ASEAN Song Contest, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. VOV may, in its discretion, refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
10. All entries will become the property of the VOV and will not be returned to the entrants.
11. If a song or music is performed or sung by a group, or the singer or performer is different from the composer, only one of the singers, performers or composers is required to submit his contact details. However, the names of all the singers, performers and composers must be listed and sent together with the completed registration form.
12. By submitting your Music to VOV, you grant its licensees and assignees an on-exclusive license to exercise the right to copy, record, show, broadcast, and/or communicate the Music and other materials provided by you, regardless of the medium used, in whole or in part, to the public throughout the world in perpetuity on any media platform and that they freely and will fully grant the right and authority to allow the Organising Committee of the ASEAN Song Contest, all associated rights necessary to exercise the said rights.
13. Your Music may be edited or adapted at anytime by VOV in order:
a) To meet the requirements of the broadcasting authorities
b) To adhere to any editorial requirements of VOV and ASEAN Song Contest Final
c) To ensure your Music meets any legal or classification requirements or to avoid any breach of law
d) To use your Music on other media platforms
14. VOV will provide hotel, accommodation, local transportation and meals for selected participants to attend and perform at the semi final and the final round in Viet Nam.
15. You warrant that:
a) All details and information provided in your registration form are true and correct
b) You have all necessary rights, licenses and authorisation to grant the rights set out in these Terms and Conditions
c) You are a singer, performer as the terms are understood herein
d) Your Music is an original composition as the term is understood herein
e) You must buy performing arts insurance during your stay in Viet Nam.
f) The exercise of the rights granted toVOV, the Organising Committee of the ASEAN Song Contest in these Terms and Conditions shall not infringe on the rights of the third parties
g) You indemnify the VOV, the Organising Committee of the ASEAN Song Contest for any loss or damage from any breach of these warranties.
16. You acknowledge that VOV is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions and any copying, recording, showing, broadcast, and/or communication of your Music to the public by the Organising Committee of the ASEAN Song Contest, in any medium or delivery platforms shall be at the completed is cretion of the Organizing Committee of the ASEAN Song Contest.
17. You agree that VOV, the Organising Committee of the ASEAN Song Contest may use your entry and your personal details as well as those of the other singers, performers and composers of the Music provided by you in connection with the entry of your Music to the ASEAN Song Contest for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the above entities in any media without notice and without any fee being paid or promised to be paid to you
18. Decisions of the ASEAN Song Contest's panel of judges are final and will be binding on each person who enters the ASEAN Song Contest, including all the singers and performers in a group entry and the composers of the Music.
19. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the organisers of the ASEAN Song Contest to hold the ASEAN Song Contest semi final or final for reasons beyond the control of the organisers, VOV as the case maybe, may, in its discretion, cancel the event and reschedule it at another time under the same conditions or select another entry
